The Arts in Psychotherapy 

The Arts in Psychotherapy published 5 issues per annum, is an international journal for professionals in the fields of mental health and education. The journal publishes articles (including illustrations) by art, dance/movement, drama, music, and poetry psychotherapists, as well as psychiatrists and psychologists, that reflect the theory and practice. This site includes an index of past articles but offers no free content but rather solicits for subscriptions to the print edition.

Harp Therapy Journal 

The Harp Therapy Journal, published quarterly by Silva Vocat Music, is dedicated to furthering education, research, communication and awareness in the emerging field of harp therapy. Editor Sarajane Williams conceived the journal as a vehicle for harpists, music therapists, physicians, nurses, researchers, psychologists, physicists, educators and harp music lovers to share ideas and information on the subject. This is our electronic edition which lists the contents of each paper issue, and presents selected articles from past issues. This site offers directories of training programs and practitioners.

Organization designed to provide support for the musician with disabilities. The org is particularly active in encouraging networks of of support between artists. This is a nice website.

Rachel's Story

This is yet another inspirational story of the affect of arts education on child development. In this case though the story is a happy one from start to finish. Rachael is discovered to have a talent for music and piano before the age of three. This article in the form of her mother's diary, shows how nurturing a parent, a community, and the arts themselves can be in the development of a child.
